The full moon in September is on Friday 29th September 2023 (GMT), and it is called the Harvest Moon.
This is because it is the closest moon to the Autumn Equinox
Before electricity, farmers used the light of the Harvest Moon to extend their working day and have enough time to gather in the crops before winter.
This is also the 4th (of 4) consecutive supermoon of the year.
A super moon is when the moon is at its closest point to the earth and will therefore appear about 8% larger than normal and up to 16% brighter. The moon highlights the subconscious and what Jung referred to as the inner child, and super moons intensify the energy!
Astrologically, the sun is in the air sign of Libra (the scales) while the moon is in the fiery sign of Aries (the ram).
The archetype of Libra is that of the judge or diplomat; the one who wants balance, while the energy of Aries is that of the warrior or pioneer.

During the September New Moon, we were encouraged to declutter our lives and take steps to better care for our beautiful world.
Now we are being encouraged to focus on how to work with compromise.
How do we create balance in our lives?
Compromise means listening to and having respect for a different perspective or view of life.
It is neither pushing our views and opinions onto another person nor judging them as being ‘wrong’.
Nor is it denying or martyring our own perspective and not having an opinion or thoughts on a particular topic. Sometimes, through our own wounding or past trauma, we are used to denying ourselves, putting ourselves last, and catering to everyone else’s wants and desires.
We are called to create a balance between listening to others and honouring our own needs. When we listen with an open heart and mind, we are able to learn and grow. This may mean we need to change our perspective to incorporate a new way of thinking.
However, when we sit in judgment over someone who holds a different, foreign, and sometimes uncomfortable belief, we spiritually close ourselves down and block love from flowing in our hearts. This means we stagnate spiritually and create emotional blocks to our own freedom and flight of soul.
People most often judge those who hold different religious or spiritual views. This may include Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Witches, Pagans, Mediums, and Channels, to name but a few.
Journal Questions:
- How can I create inner balance in my own life?
- Who do I know that holds a different perspective or worldview from myself? Why do I feel resistance to that person? What do I fear? How can I open a conversation so as to give them space to be themselves?
Creating inner balance takes effort
Wishing you much light and love as always and you try to create balance in your life.
