April 2026 – The Details

April’s message is that it is time to take control of our lives by paying attention to the details.

What thoughts are we thinking?

What do we say about ourselves?

How do we talk to ourselves?

What do we say about other people?

How do we treat animals, insects, trees, and water?

Astrologically, April’s full moon, called the Pink Moon, occurs on Thursday, 2nd April. The name comes from a North American Pink Phlox wildflower that blooms at this time.

This is a time for you to plant a seed in your life so that it can bloom like the wildflowers.

What do you do when life feels exhausting and out of control?

It’s easy to focus on  ‘what is out there’, and what’s happening on the global stage, but the way we change things is to change ourselves. Life is not meant to be lived in an ‘outside in’ way, but rather an ‘inside out way’. We already have the answers… sometimes we just need to stop and uncover them.

Dr Peebles (a wise guide channelled by Summer Bacon) always reminds me that life is a creative adventure.

His three principles of life are:

  1. Loving allowance for all things to be in their own time and place, starting with ourselves
  2. Increased communication with respect
  3. Personal responsibility, because we are the creators of our reality, and never the victim.

When we take a moment to sit down in stillness, we have the opportunity to self-reflect.

Spirit is always encouraging us to discover more of the light and love that we are, so how do we do this when life feels so uncertain, frantic, and out of control?

Try this visualisation: The Throne

golden throne

Imagine you come across a beautiful golden throne. It has eagle statues on top, and there is a sense of peace.

There is a name on the throne, so you walk closer to read the inscription, only to discover that it is your name.

A scribe appears and, with a smile, gestures for you to sit down on the throne. You know that to be a king (or queen) means that you have to move with confidence and self-assurance.

You decide to be a king (or queen), so you walk towards the throne and sit down.

Take a moment to notice how this feels.

The scribe smiles at you and pulls up a chair at your feet.

He opens a book and takes out a pen.

He is ready to write your thoughts and feelings.

You realise that you need to tend to some details in your life.

It’s not about the big things, it’s about the little things.

The Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu wrote in Chapter 64 of the Tao Te Ching, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.

What single step are you being asked to take to nurture yourself?

The answer could come to you in many forms – a thought, a memory, an emotion, a picture, a song, or an idea could just pop into your mind.

Remember, if we are paying attention to the details, then nothing is too small or insignificant.

The scribe writes down your words and hands you the book. You notice that it has your name on the cover – this is your journey, your life.

The scene fades, and you are back in your room.

You resolve to implement this small change today, and every day, so that you can change your life in some small positive way.

I send you many blessings as you choose to make one small change in your life this month /I
