April New Moon & Solar Eclipse
On Monday 8th April 2024, we will experience the New Moon in fiery Aries, and a solar eclipse.

The total solar eclipse will best be viewed from North and Central America – Canada, the USA, and Mexico. Parts of Europe will only see a partial eclipse.
A solar eclipse is when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, completely blocking out the sun. This takes about 4.5 – 5 minutes and is a time of intense energy.

What does this mean for us at the time of the New Moon?
In our Solar System, the sun is the most ‘yang’, outward, fiery energy that affects the Earth, and the Moon is the most ‘yin’, inward, cool energy.
The archetype of Aries (the Ram) is that of fire and passion. It has a creative spark and a warrior energy.

Although we are encouraged to tap into our fiery creativity, we are also advised to balance this with introspection and quiet reflection.

Message for April
This is the same message for April – and reminds us of the question:
Does every battle need to be fought?
We are reminded to balance our fiery passionate thoughts, words, and actions with cool, quiet, inner harmony.
Meditation is a tool to help us find inner harmony at this time, as are energy practices like Breathwork, Qigong, or Yoga. (I have linked a gentle, easy video on each of these practices for anyone interested).
Then we can feel equipped to go out and do something kind to bring peace, love, and harmony to someone else. It may be that we can phone someone we have lost touch with, or sow a kind word or deed into the world.
