The full moon is on Thursday, 10th July 2025, and it is called the Buck Moon.
This marks the time of year when male deer, known as bucks, begin to grow their new antlers.
Buck Moon
Astrologically, the Sun is in watery Cancer (the Crab) while the Moon is in the Earth sign of Capricorn (the Goat).
The energy of Cancer is that of the nurturing homemaker, while the leadership skills of Capricorn offer us the opportunity to be recognised by the world for our contribution to society.

What does this Full Moon ask us to consider?
During the New Moon, we were reminded to nurture ourselves in a chaotic and fractious world. This is not being selfish.
Jesus said, “Love your neighbour as you love yourself”. We can only love others to the extent that we love ourselves.
Dr Peebles says that loving ourselves means “loving allowance for all things to be in their own time and place, starting for yourself”.
It can be easy to hold back and hide our authentic selves.
In the past, we may not have been listened to, we may have experienced trauma, been emotionally bullied, or we may have come from zero-effort families, where our emotional needs were either neglected or dismissed.
We may have faced conflict, pain, injury, or abuse – physical, mental or emotional.
However, when we choose to set personal boundaries and prioritise self-care, despite when others might call us selfish, we learn to honour and validate ourselves.
As we accept who we are, we step into emotional sovereignty (as Jung would say), and we claim our space in the world.
We stop being the crab hiding in our shell and we become the mountain goat, courageous enough to stand on the top of the mountain, and be our authentic self.
We stop apologising for who we are.
When we do this, we become an example to others.
We don’t hide our light; rather, we claim our light, and we claim our lives.
Our courage then becomes the inspiration for others to walk their own path of healing and to reclaim themselves.
Wishing you much light and love as always

Thank you for this Lee-Anne. And the video to deal with conflict – well I listened and sent to Louise. We will chat about her next week, need some sisterly advice! The Zero Effect families, yes, I Listened to the UTube you sent. Oh my word…. the family to a T! XXX
Dear Charmaine, Thank you for your lovely comment and for taking the time to read the blog. The Holistic Psychologist has a great way of explaining things – I like her insights, and the short she does on Zero-Effort families explains the family perfectly!
