Tarot message for January 2023
This morning I asked for a Tarot message that would show us what we need to focus on for the month of January.
The result was The Page of Wands.
Page of Wands
Looking at Juliet Sharman-Burke’s deck, we see a child or young man richly dressed in the bold, fiery and passionate colours of red and gold.
His breastplate shows the fiery symbol of the salamander, he has a bold feather in his cap, and he is holding a wand sprouting fire in his right hand.
He stands boldly and confidently in a desert-like environment, and he is looking either at the sprouting wand or at the horizon (or both).
The Page was traditionally a messenger at court, and it is also important to note that the Page was a child – which in tarot, symbolises something that is just beginning and in it’s infancy.
The fiery suit of Wands represents passion, enthusiasm, optimism, and excitement.
So, what is the message for us to follow during the month of January?
Children are eager and free in their confidence and frankness.
They are uninhibited and are bursting with excitement and fun, so this card shows us that January is a month where we have much to look forward to.
There is an excitement in the air – a new project or direction is being birthed.
Notice if you feel you are holding yourself back – now is not the time.
Rather, it IS the time to look boldly and confidently to the future.
There is new hope so jump in!
Questions to ask and journal:
- What talents do I have that I can use in a new and exciting way?
- What creative or spiritual path am I being called to embark on?
- What is holding me back from jumping feet first into a new and exciting opportunity?
Have the courage to give yourself permission to ‘go for it’!
Life is for the living, so jump in!
