The full moon is on Wednesday 18th September 2024 and is called the Harvest Moon. This is because it is the closest moon to the Autumn Equinox, and it can look orange.
In the days before electricity, farmers used the light of the Harvest Moon to extend their working day and have enough time to gather the crops before winter.

Super Moon
This is also a Super Moon. A Super Moon is when the moon is at its closest point to the Earth and will therefore appear about 8% larger than normal and up to 16% brighter.
The moon highlights the subconscious and what Jung referred to as the inner child, and Super Moons intensify this energy!
Astrologically, the sun is in the earth sign of Virgo (the maiden) while the moon is in the watery sign of Pisces (the fish).
The archetype of Virgo is one who analyses their life to create order. Mystical Pisces invites us to immerse ourselves in our dreams and dive into the deep waters of our creativity.

What does this Full Moon ask us to consider?
During the September New Moon, we were encouraged to focus on loving ourselves (and embracing our shadows).
Now that we are learning to face and integrate those neglected parts of ourselves, we are free to dive deep into the mysterious waters of creativity and life.
Message for September
The Message for September encouraged us to find new solutions to old problems.
To do this, we need to be creative.
How do we activate our creativity?
Think about the whale for a moment…
Whales are amazing animals. They are mammals, so they breathe air and give birth to live young; yet despite their size, they glide smoothly into the depths and also play on the surface of the water. They are at home in the water.
Whales are social animals and travel in pods, In the cold waters they form larger pods to conserve heat and protect each other from predators.
Humpback whales raise one or both pectoral fins and slap the water. This is to greet those around them.
Whales are playful, gregarious, and friendly, and scientists now believe their personalities to be close to chimpanzees.
When they are happy, they squeal to express their joy, and male whales will sing to woo the females.
Dive Deep
How does the whale relate to our lives?
As we heal our shadows, we are free to dive deep into the waters of our creativity and spirituality.
Life becomes an exploration full of joy as we dive deep and discover who we are without inhibition, and also connect with like-minded souls around us.
Journal Questions:
- How can I express my creativity?
- Who am I?
- How do I imagine my ideal life and what does this feel like?
I include a YouTube video of a whale song to encourage you to listen to the eerie and magical sounds as you relax and allow your dreams, imagination, and creativity to emerge.
Wishing you much light and love as always as you dive deep into life.
